3rd Technical Workshop of the APRIORI Network

The 3rd Technical Workshop of the APRIORI Network, was held by TU Delft in the period 10/02/2025 – 14/02/2025. As expected, each DC presented the core progress on their work since the last Technical Workshop held in November/2024. Furthermore, the Supervisory Board meeting was conducted by Hendrik Devriendt and Elke Deckers, to update on the bureaucratic side of the project, highlighting deadlines, deliverables and adjusting activities accordingly. Representatives from AAU, JSI, QLector, Grundfos, TWD and Materialise were also present in the meeting, discussing along the forward plans.
Additionally, during this week-long meeting, other events from the Network were conducted, such as a one-day course on Writing Skills – presented by Rachel Rubin, English professor at KU Leuven -, a half-day course on Effective Presentation Skills – presented by Jair Santanna, professor at University of Twente and principal researcher at Northwave Cybersecurity -, and a one-day training on Testing and Development of Experimental Setups, held at TWD facilities, in Rotterdam.
Regarding the team bonding side of the project, an APRIORI Dinner happened at Cafe de V, in Delft. It was the first time that the majority of PIs and DCs gathered together in an environment outside of the University. Thus, despite some changes due to short-notice problems, the event week was an overall success, providing the DCs valuable knowledge that will be used within their PhD-programme in the future, while bringing closer together all the collaborators within the Doctoral Network.
